چمکتے چاند کو ٹوٹا ہوا تارا بنا ڈالا
مری آوارگی نے مجھ کو آوارہ بنا ڈالا
بڑا دلکش، بڑا رنگین ہے یہ شہر کہتے ہیں
یہاں پر ہیں ہزاروں گھر، گھروں میں لوگ رہتےہیں
مجھے اس شہر میں گلیوں کا بنجارہ بنا ڈالا
میں اس دنیا کو اکثر دیکھ کر حیران ہوتا ہوں
نہ مجھ سے بن سکا چھوٹا سا گھر دن رات روتا ہوں
خدایا تونے کیسے یہ جہاں سارا بنا ڈالا
مرے مالک مرا دل کیوں تڑپتا ہے، سلگتا ہے
تری مرضی، تری مرضی پہ کس کا زور چلتا ہے
کسی کو گل کسی کو تو نے انگارہ بنا ڈالا
یہی آغاز تھا میرا، یہی انجام ہونا تھا
مجھے برباد ہونا تھا، مجھے ناکام ہونا تھا
مجھے تقدیر نے تقدیر کا مارا بنا ڈالا
